This Privacy Policy applies to JobHoppr QR & Barcode Scanner (the "Tool"), a free utility on jobhoppr.inoperated by JobHoppr ("we", "our", or "us"). The Tool lets you scan QR codes and barcodes using your device camera or images stored on your device, and create QR codes and barcodes you can download — entirely in your browser.

Core promise: Your camera feed and any images you upload for scanning are processed locally on your device. They are never uploaded to our servers or to any third party. We do not store, view, or transmit your camera data, scanned content, or generated codes.

1. What the Tool Does

QR & Barcode Scanner provides the following features at no cost:

• Camera scanning— use your device's camera to scan QR codes and barcodes in real time
• Image scanning — select an image from your device storage to decode QR codes or barcodes without using the camera
• QR code creation — generate a QR code from text, URLs, or other data you type in
• Barcode creation — generate standard barcodes (such as Code 128, EAN, UPC, and others) from data you provide
• Download / save — save generated QR codes and barcodes as image files directly to your device

All features run in your browser using local computing resources. No account or payment is required.

2. Camera Access — How We Use It

To enable real-time scanning, the Tool requests access to your device camera through the browser's standard permissions dialog. Please read the following carefully:

• Camera access is requested only when you choose to use the scanning feature and is processed entirely inside your browser
• Your live camera feed is never streamed, recorded, or transmitted to our servers or any third party
• We do not store video frames, screenshots of the camera feed, or any image captured during scanning
• Decoded content (for example a URL or text found in a QR code) is displayed to you on-screen and is not sent to our servers
• You can revoke camera permission at any time through your browser or device settings; the Tool will stop scanning immediately

We use the browser's MediaDevices API solely to decode QR codes and barcodes in real time. No other use is made of your camera.

3. Storage Access — Images from Your Device

When you choose to scan an image from your device instead of using the camera, the Tool requests read access to that file through the browser's standard file picker:

• The selected image is read locally by your browser and decoded on your device; it is never uploaded to our servers
• We do not retain, copy, or transmit the image file or its contents after scanning is complete
• File names and metadata (such as EXIF data) from selected images are not stored by us
• Closing or refreshing the page clears any in-browser session data related to the selected image

4. Saving & Downloading Generated Codes

When you create a QR code or barcode and choose to download it, the image file is generated locally in your browser and saved directly to your device:

• Generated code images are created on your device using browser canvas APIs and downloaded directly — they are never sent to our servers
• The data you enter to generate a code (such as a URL or text) is used only within your browser session and is not transmitted to us
• We do not log, store, or analyze the content of codes you create or the images you download

5. Information We Do Not Collect from the Tool

We do not collect, store, or analyze:

• Your camera feed or any frames captured from it
• Images you select from your device for scanning
• The decoded content of QR codes or barcodes you scan
• The data or text you enter to generate QR codes or barcodes
• Generated code images you download or save
• EXIF or other embedded metadata from image files you process

6. Information Related to Visiting the Website

Separately from Tool usage, visiting jobhoppr.in (including the QR & Barcode Scanner pages) may involve the same kinds of site-level data described in our main Privacy Policy, such as:

• Basic technical logs (for example IP address, browser type, pages visited)
• Cookies and similar technologies used to operate the Site
• Analytics and advertising technologies (for example Google AdSense), if enabled on the Site

That website traffic data is entirely unrelated to the camera feed, images, or code data you use within the Tool.

7. Free Service

QR & Barcode Scanner is provided free of charge. We do not charge for scanning, code creation, or downloading generated images. We do not sell your scanned data or generated codes, because we never receive them.

8. Third-Party Services

The Tool does not rely on third-party scanning or code-generation APIs. All processing is performed by client-side libraries running in your browser. Any third-party services used on the broader JobHoppr website (such as hosting, analytics, or advertising) do not receive your camera data, scanned content, or generated codes through this Tool.

9. Your Responsibilities

You are responsible for:

• Only scanning QR codes and barcodes you have the right to read
• Not using the Tool to scan or generate codes that contain unlawful, harmful, or deceptive content
• Understanding that scanning accuracy depends on image quality, lighting conditions, and your browser's capabilities
• Granting or denying camera and storage permissions according to your own privacy preferences

10. Children's Privacy

The Tool is not directed to children under 13. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children under 13 through the QR & Barcode Scanner. Because camera feeds and images are processed only on the user's device, we do not receive children's camera or image data.

11. Changes to This Policy

We may update this QR & Barcode Scanner Privacy Policy from time to time. Changes will be posted on this page with an updated "Last updated" date. Continued use of the Tool after changes means you accept the revised policy.
